Send monthly newsletters out to everyone you meet. If you receive a business card at a networking event or advertising brochures in the mail from local vendors, put their email addresses, phone numbers and office addresses on a mailing list. Take advantage of inexpensive communications available through use of email by sending out short newsletters containing tax hints and community news. Use an email marketing service such as ConstantContact or iContact that will allow you to monitor your readership and make it easy for people to refer new subscriptions. Most people will read your newsletter if it contains something like local crime statistics, marriages and school sports scores in addition to tax information.
